It is true that there have been others before Vector Camera (Prisma comes to mind, for example), but this app is an entirely free alternative, open-source, and advertisement free. Effects galore The first thing that will shock users when they open this app and click on the palette icon is the number of effects available. There are many different ways to enhance your photographs, and some of them are really unique. For example, I found the “Matrix effect” quite peculiar, to say the least. Being a collaborative project, it may still lack a defining plus feature (remember how tough the beginnings of Open Camera were), but it has all the necessary elements to be a good alternative: 36 different effects to apply to photos. HQ option to improve image quality. Direct access to the gallery. Possibility to customize the effects. This last feature particularly caught my attention. It's fantastic to have the freedom to experiment with what the application has to offer on a deeper level, and this is perhaps where its opensource roots are more apparent. Vector Camera is an interesting application that is worth exploring.
